How we got here
The roughly half-mile pathway for residents is part of West U's Parks and Recreation Master Plan that was adopted in 2015.
- The master plan recommended adding a walking path within the city, including along Poor Farm Ditch.
- In January, City Council approved the construction contract.
Other enhancements, including landscaping, pathway repairs and utility relocation, are expected to be completed by the end of the year, according to a news release.
