The Houston Public Works Department will give stakeholders the opportunity to receive updates on the design for two Fondren Road projects at a virtual meeting Oct. 6.

The projects provide for the design and construction of Fondren, expanding it from four to six lanes and including work on curbs; sidewalks; driveways; street lighting; traffic control; and underground utilities, including storm, water and sewer.

The Oct. 6 meeting will combine two projects and be presented as one: on Fondren between Braeswood Boulevard and West Airport Boulevard.

The $32 million combined project has a scheduled start of summer 2021 with a scheduled completion for summer 2023, according to an entry on the project on Houston Public Works’ capital projects page.

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 on the Microsoft Teams platform, and stakeholders can download the app or access it on the web. A telephone number will be provided to dial in to the meeting as well.
