The median price of homes sold rose in three of five local ZIP codes when comparing August 2024 with August 2023, rising by the most in the 77005 ZIP code, where 19 homes were sold in August with a median price of just over $2 million. The 77030 ZIP code often sees more volatile changes in median price because fewer homes are sold overall.
Median prices were up in four of five local ZIP codes when comparing July data to the previous year.
The average number of days a home spends on the market before selling was up in four of five local ZIP codes when comparing August 2024 with August 2023, dropping only in the 77030 ZIP code. Homes sold the fastest on average in the 77096 ZIP code, which covers the Meyerland area. That ZIP code also saw the lowest median price in August.
