The average number of days a home spends on the market before selling was up in four of five local ZIP codes covering the Bellaire, Meyerland and West University Place areas when comparing data from April 2024 with April 2023.

The 77096 ZIP code, which covers the Meyerland area, saw a 33.9% drop, with homes selling almost 40 days faster on average when comparing the two months. Homes continue to sell faster on average in the 77005, 77030 and 77401 ZIP codes.

The 77025 ZIP code saw six fewer homes sell, making for the greatest decrease. Meanwhile, the 77005 ZIP code saw four additional homes sell, making for the greatest increase.The median price of homes sold fell in three of five local ZIP codes. The two ZIP codes where the median price rose in April 2024—the 77005 and 77401 ZIP codes—already had median prices over $1 million in April 2023.A total of 57 homes, or just under half of the 116 homes that sold in April in the local area, were sold for more than $1 million.
