A new five-lane lap pool was completed at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center in Meyerland. The first of three outdoor outdoor swimming facilities will open Oct. 2 as part of the ERJCC's new aquatic complex. The lap pool is 25 yards across and temperature controlled, set behind the center at 5601 S. Braeswood Blvd., Houston. 713.729.3200.
