The sustainable footwear and apparel brand Allbirds will open a new location this summer in Rice Village at 2503 Amherst St., Houston.

Products sold at the store are made from eco-friendly materials and cater to both men and women.

“Allbirds is thrilled to open our first store in Houston at Rice Village,” said Talia Loewenstein, director of global real estate for the company. “We look forward to serving our existing customer base, as well as expanding our Texas community.”

Burdette Huffman of The Blue Ox Group represented Rice Village in the transaction.

Other tenants to open recently at Rice Village include King Ranch Saddle Shop and Dave's Hot Chicken. The new culinary concept by chef and restauranteur Aaron Bludorn, Navy Blue, is set to open this summer.
