A Best Buy located in Meyerland Plaza at 100 Meyerland Plaza Mall, Houston, has permanently closed, a Best Buy spokesperson confirmed.

The multinational electronics retailer opted not to renew its lease in the plaza store. The store’s last day was Oct. 31.

According to the spokesperson, Best Buy operates 24 other stores in the Houston area, including two within five miles of the former Meyerland Plaza store.

“Customers showed us that they prefer to shop at other nearby stores, including our Galleria and Sharpstown stores, which have better in-store experiences,” the spokesperson wrote in an email to Community Impact Newspaper.
