Notable quote

Rhonda Abbott, senior vice president and CEO at TIRR Memorial Hermann, said that she believes that rehabilitation medicine is key to bridging the gap between acute care and home.

“This alignment with TIRR Memorial Hermann means that patients will have access to a seamless continuum of care, from acute care through rehabilitation and outpatient therapy, all in one location," she said in the release. "This transformation allows us to provide the best care possible, reduce hospital readmissions and help patients regain their functionality and independence, getting them back to their homes and communities faster.”

The inpatient rehabilitation unit is now accepting patients.
