How we got here
Officials from Bellaire's city manager office announced Oct. 27 that the change was due to customers reduced water usage.
"Customers are always encouraged to conserve water whenever possible, and watch for and repair leaks," Community Relations Administrator Cheryl Bright said in an email.

The city's drought website offers free water conservation tools, including alerts to control monthly water bills and a smartphone app to configure out how much water to use on one's yard.
