With all 701 of Harris County voting centers reporting Election Day results, here are the total cast votes from the Nov. 7 election for the top two vote-getters:
  • Gus Pappas: 1,827
  • Aaron Perry: 1,305

Bellaire mayoral candidates Gus Pappas and Aaron Perry will head to a runoff election on Dec. 9.

Perry said it would be an honor to serve as the next Bellaire mayor.

"Our message of public safety, drainage improvements, fiscal transparency and accountability is what I am going to advocate for immediately. I will always work with the [Bellaire] City Council to practice fiscal restraint when it comes to our debt concerns," Perry said.

Bellaire mayoral candidates Gus Pappas and Aaron Perry will head to a runoff election on Dec. 9.

"The city of Bellaire was the true winner yesterday with so many people seeking election and over 4,000 of our residents voting. We are happy to be in the runoff, but have some work to do," Pappas said.

As of 8 a.m., 700 of 701 Harris County precinct voting centers have reported Election Day results.


All results are unofficial until canvassed.

With 694 of 701 Harris County precincts reporting at 7:30 a.m., Pappas has received 42% of all votes cast with 1,827 votes.

Perry received 30% of all votes cast with 1,305 votes, narrowly outpacing Wesely by 81 votes.

With 296 of 701 Harris County precincts reporting at 11:01 p.m., Gus Pappas has received 42% of all votes cast will likely face a runoff for Bellaire mayor.

He maintains the lead with 1,691 votes. Pappas' contender is too close to call with both Wesely and Perry at 29% of votes.

Early voting tallies show Gus Pappas leading the three-person race to become the next Bellaire mayor.

What you need to know

According to Harris County election data, Pappas has 42% with 866 votes, Aaron Perry has 28% with 586 votes and Nathan Wesely has 30% with 619 votes.


In an interview with Community Impact, Pappas said he is running for mayor because he has the experience, skills and background to lead.

Wesely, a Bellaire council member, said if he were elected, he would want Bellaire to have fiscal discipline based on sustainable and affordable long-term plans.
