With all Harris County voting centers reporting Election Day results, Abbie Kamin received 27,594 votes, Bradley received 4,945 votes and Cisneros received 5,154 votes in the race for the District C seat on Houston City Council. Kamin received 73.21% of votes cast, according to unofficial results.

In an emailed statement, Council Member Abbie Kamin remarked on her victory in the Nov. 7 election for the District C seat on Houston City Council.

"I am very grateful to the voters of District C for the privilege of serving our neighborhoods for another four years," Kamin said. "Houston is the best, and we will keep working to make it even better for future generations. That doesn’t mean we don’t have challenges—and a new mayor and city controller who will need the help of seasoned leaders. I look forward to working with colleagues and our amazing district constituents to keep our great city moving in the right direction."

Abbie Kamin won re-election to Houston City Council representing District C with 73.21% of the vote against two challengers.

Kamin received 27,561 votes with 694 out of 701 Harris County voting centers reporting. Challengers Felix Cisneros and Perata "PB" Bradley received 5,149 and 4,938 votes, respectively.

A call and email to Kamin's team were not immediately returned as of 7 a.m. Nov. 8.

As votes were still being counted in Harris County, incumbent Abbie Kamin was poised to retain her seat representing Houston City Council with 150 of 701 voting centers reporting. Kamin received 17,225, or 74.31% of votes. Challenger Bradley received 3,132, or 13.51% of the vote and Cisneros received 2,822, or 12.17% of votes cast.

Kamin's political consultant could not immediately be reached for comment on election night.

With early voting results in from Harris County, incumbent Abbie Kamin, who was elected to the position in 2019, emerged as the front runner in the Nov. 7 election for Houston City Council District C.

District C covers western parts of Houston's inner loop, including Lazybrook/Timbergrove, Memorial Park, parts of the Washington Corridor, Montrose, the Rice University area and Meyerland, among other areas. The seat is up for election every four years.

The results

Abbie Kamin received 15,033 votes, or 74.02% of the vote, in early voting results.


Challenger Perata "PB" Bradley received 2,816 votes, or 13.87% of the vote, and challenger Felix Cisneros received 2,460 votes, or 12.11% of the vote.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.
