This catchphrase is plastered across the Duke's website, a family-owned business that prepares fresh, Venezuelan food made with family recipes.
In a nutshell
The restaurant recently opened its second Houston location on the Southwest Freeway after operating out of its only other storefront in Katy.
The menu includes 15 different flavors of arepas, a traditional flatbread dish from northern South America made of ground maize dough stuffed with a filling of choice; pabebowls, which include rice, black beans, cheese, sweet plantains and shredded beef or chicken; and cachapas, a distinguished rustic Venezuelan corn pancake topped with a choice of shredded beef, chicken or cheese.
Other options include pepitos, a popular Venezuelan street food that consists of a large, loaded sandwich made with grilled steak and served on a soft roll with various toppings and sauces; and breakfast foods such as include mini arepas with cream cheese, empanadas, tequeños and pastelitos.
