Pokeworks will open its 10th Houston-area location in downtown Houston by mid-2025, according to a March 4 news release.

The details

The fast casual restaurant brings the fresh flavors of poke from Hawaii, according to its website. Poke refers to sliced cubes of marinated sushi grade fish, which is tossed over rice and topped with vegetables and Asian-inspired sauces.

The downtown Houston location is part of a planned expansion for the brand across Texas and Mexico that will include 30 new restaurants, per the release.

According to the release, there are more than 50,000 ways to customize an order at Pokeworks.

Diet preferences include vegan, gluten-free or more mindful diets.

The menu also includes the signature poke burrito, miso soup and spam musubi—a seared and seasoned slice of spam over a bed of rice, wrapped in nori and flavored with sweet Shoyu sauce and garlic crisps.
