A new locally owned sweets and coffee shop opened on Beechnut Street between the Meyerland area and Bellaire in November.

Sweet Spot Cafe offers gelato, candy, coffee, waffles, crepes and pastries.

The artisanal gelato and shakes come in a variety of flavors such as creamy vanilla and decadent chocolate to mango sorbet and pistachio swirl.

On the other hand, the waffles and crepes are both made to order and can be topped or filled with fresh fruit, whipped cream or chocolate drizzle. The shop also offers waffles, crepes and gelato cones that are dairy and gluten free.

Sweet Spot Cafe also sells pastries, including macarons, croissants and muffins, as well as childhood favorite candy and Lavazza coffee items such as lattes, cappuccinos and espresso-based drinks.
