A new cocktail bar opened earlier this month in Rice Village, according to a Jan. 2 social media post.

What's special about it?

Lee's is a new cocktail bar concept located right next to recently-opened Italian restaurant Milton's, as part of a homage to Houston restaurateur Benjy Levit's parents, Milton and Lee. According to the website, Milton's and Lee's are a "homage to family, friendship, community, service and tradition."

On the menu

Lee's offers a variety of cocktails and wines. Cocktails include the Red Poppy, which has poppy seeds, almond, lemon and Bolivian brandy; the Black Hat with rye, amaro vermouth, nori and squid ink; and the Spice Melange, a cocktail that has hot honey, lemon, saffron, vodka and gold. Wines include te mata sauvignon blanc, jean collet & fils petit chablis, and averaen pinot noir.

Another part of the menu that Lee's offers is five small drinks, each just over two ounces. The smalls menu offers drinks such as I'm a Little Teapot, a clarified vegan milk punch served in a glass teacup, and Appleteeny, a small cocktail with vodka and apple liquer.

Lee's also serves small bites that can be paired with a cocktail or wine, including hamachi tacos, takoyaki arancini and crab rolls.
