After more than 40 years serving upscale, authentic Italian dishes in Midtown, Damian's Cucina Italiana will serve its final meal on Aug. 17.

Restaurant owners, Bubba and Nancy Butera and Judy and Johnny Mandola, took to social media to thank their customers and staff.

"We would like to thank our loyal customers for your outpouring of support and camaraderie. We would like to thank our amazing staff, which is also our family, for all of their hard work and dedication. It's been a great ride. We will miss you all dearly," the statement read.

On the other hand

While the website states the restaurant will be closing in mid-August, Johnny Mandola announced their sister company, Mandola's Catering, will remain open and continue its Italian catering services.
