A Florida-based bagel shop is looking to gain a following with bagel lovers in Texas.

Officials with Jeff's Bagel Run confirmed they will be expanding into Houston this fall with the business's first location at the Braes Heights Shopping Center.

Brian Hess is the franchise owner of the new bagel shop. He said in an email that, after his first taste of the bagels in Orlando, he wanted to bring the experience to Houston. His plans include opening at least five stores throughout the Greater Houston area, he said.

"Houston is such a vibrant culinary city, so we couldn’t be more excited to bring freshly-made bagels to the city," Hess said. "Our plan is to expand to five stores throughout the Greater Houston area in the next three years or sooner. After trying Jeff’s Bagel Run in Orlando, the bagels spoke for themselves. The quality and freshness make them standout, and I’m proud to bring Jeff’s Bagel Run to Houston."

The shop features a variety of bagel flavors, including asiago, cinnamon raisin, garlic, jalapeno cheddar and the everything bagel. When it comes to available spread options beyond the traditional cream cheese, guests can choose from brown sugar cinnamon, cake batter, cookies and cream, cannoli and hot sauce.

Jeff’s Bagel Run also serves coffee and desserts, such as cookies and s'mores, according to its menu.
