Population levels fell slightly in the cities of Bellaire and West University Place between 2016 and 2021, according to the latest data released by the U.S. Census Dec. 8. Education levels continued to tick up in both cities over that timeframe.

Meanwhile population levels in the city of Houston continue to increase, according to the Census, rising roughly 2.4% between 2016 and 2021. However, the city was outpaced in growth by the state of Texas, which grew by around 7.1% over that time. The city of Houston has just under 2.3 million people.
