The showroom will be a 2,200-square-foot lifestyle destination for Marel's expansive line of home enhancements—which include kitchen cabinets, drawers and appliance housings; bedroom and living room wall mounts; bathroom storage units and closets; and office design components to optimize workflow solutions, per the release.

The Houston space joins Marel's two other U.S. showrooms in Miami and Orlando; and will serve as a collaborative space where consumers, architects, designers, decorators and builders can discuss projects with the company's dedicated staff, per the release.

After measurements are taken and 3D designs are created, pieces will be crafted in Marel's manufacturing center in Brazil, then shipped to Houston within an average two-month window, per the release. A specialized team will install the furnishings after purchase.

Quote of note

According to the release, Houston was chosen to set the stage for Marel's Texas expansion because of its emphasis on self-expression. The brand plans to enhance design discourse with its meticulously built products and personalized service, Houston owner Wilson Bortolucci Filho said in a statement.

“We see Houston as a city where discerning homeowners and businesses appreciate the type of bold design that aligns with Marel’s portfolio,” Filho said in the release. “Houston’s economic clout and its distinction for valuing the best in interior design make it a perfect home for what Marel does best.”
