Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co.—a popular Houston craft brewery located in the Sawyer Yards arts district off Washington Avenue—has been locked out of its premises, as stated in a lockout notice posted to the brewery’s entrances Jan. 26.

In a Jan. 30 Instagram post, CEO William McLucas called it a “temporary” closure and said he is working to reopen at the Summer Street site.

The details

The brewery, located at 2101 Summer St., Houston, did not open during usual business hours Jan. 26. The lockout notice was from Silver Street Holdings, the landlord.

According to the lockout notice, Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company was locked out of its premises due to delinquent rent payments.

The notice states:

“Provided Tenant pays the entire amount of delinquent rent via certified check or money order, a new key to the premises may be obtained Monday through Friday, during the business hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.”
