Kido Rice Village, a preschool and daycare center located at 2329 Bissonnet St., Houston, is expanding and building a new infant center next door at 2317 Bissonnet St., Houston.

According to a business representative, they are anticipating opening in the summer. Kido Rice Village Infant Center currently has a waiting list for families interested in enrolling their child at the new infant center, the business representative said. Once the building permits are approved and the anticipated summer opening draws closer, the representative said the day care center will have a better idea on the number of infants, from 6 weeks to 18 months, the center can accept.

Kido is an international educational institution, according to the center’s brochure, and the first school opened in Hong Kong in 2014. Other Kido locations include the United Kingdom, India and China, the brochure stated. Their first center in Houston is the Rice Village location, which is built on 6,500 square feet and includes an indoor and outdoor play area. The school and day care offers Spanish and English language curriculum and, according to its brochure, they are open from 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
