The details
The trolley run is from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will have four different race divisions starting at different times:
- The 1-mile division starts at 7:30 a.m.
- The wheelchair 5K division starts at 7:50 a.m.
- The 5K division starts at 8 a.m.
- The 5K stroller division starts at 8:10 a.m.
Every participant will receive a finishers medal and a Dri-Fit T-shirt, according to a March 24 news release. The top three in each age category will receive a custom trolley car award, according to Bellaire's Park department.
According to the city’s website, residents should expect traffic delays along the race route due to street closures.
Those who want to participate in the trolley run can register on the RunSignUp website. Prices range from $28 to $40 depending on the division chosen, but prices will change April 4, according to the city’s website.
What else?
After the race, a post-race party will happen at Bellaire Town Square, with vendors providing goodies to runners, as well as food and music.
