Houston's own highly-anticipated Meow Wolf exhibit, "Radio Tave," is officially open to the public.

A long time coming

The Sante-Fe-based art production company first announced that Houston would receive its own interactive art exhibit in 2022. The massive project later broke ground in 2023 utilizing 32,242 square feet in a historic warehouse in Fifth Ward.

The project remained under construction and preparation for a little over a year before the production company decided to announce Houston's unique theme—"Radio Tave."

"Radio Tave," according to a Sept. 10 news release, is an explorable radio station that is expected to transport guests into other dimensions. The exhibit features dozens of rooms designed with a labyrinth of paths, portals and hidden doors, all filled with interactive mysteries for guests to solve.
