Citing rising rents, the Dallas-based Half Price Books has announced it would close its Rice Village bookshop, 2537 University Blvd., Houston. The 11,300 square-foot store has been open since 1982 and will close on March 8, 2020. The company has looked for alternate locations but has not been able to find a suitable location in the same area, company spokesperson Emily Bruce said.
