The meeting will be 6-8 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 W. Walker St., according to a news release.
The department seeks public input on mountain bike trail opportunities throughout the city to supplement the city's existing parks and open space master plan. Staff will be at the meeting to discuss and hear input on what should be included in mountain bike trails, where they should be located and how they can be incorporated into the city's existing trails system, the release reads.
Residents can also submit comments via email to Chien Wei, director of parks and cultural services, at [email protected].
This effort to make mountain bike trails comes after residents and city staff worked together to make a trail at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside. Mountain bikers and staff alike have plans to expand mountain biking opportunities citywide.
