Ronald McDonald House Houston and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston have merged into one organization, according to a Jan. 29 news release. The new organization will be called the Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston.
In a nutshell
According to the news release, the new organization will continue the work done by the two nonprofits, which includes the Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Lounges and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. There will be no interruption to the nonprofit’s programming.
How we got here
A joint task force representing both charities decided to merge the two organizations after a year of planning and consideration, according to the news release. Both organizations have been operating for over three decades.
