League City residents will have an opportunity to offer input on the city’s proposed $333 million budget and $0.36355 tax rate per $100 valuation of a home for fiscal year 2026-27 at League City City Council’s Aug. 25 meeting.

League City City Council voted unanimously at its Aug. 11 meeting to propose the no-new-revenue rate. If approved, it will be the 12th consecutive year the city’s property tax rate has decreased.
In tandem with the consecutive annual lowering of the tax rate, League City’s total taxable value has increased year over year, according to previous reporting by Community Impact. However, the total taxable value has dropped over the past two years.
