With all Harris County precincts reporting, Phil Johnson has won his bid for Nassau Bay mayor in the May 7 election.
Johnson, who currently serves as the Position 2 Nassau Bay City Council member, faced Mark Denman, who formerly served as Nassau Bay mayor.
Johnson has received 577 votes, or 56.5% of the total votes. Denman secured 444, or 43.5% of the total.
"My primary priority is managing finances to improve infrastructure, mitigate flooding and provide fiscal transparency," Johnson told Community Impact Newspaper in April.

Correction: This story previously called winners for the May 7 election. As only 452 of 465 Harris County voting centers are reporting as of 9 a.m. May 8, it's too early to call. The article was updated to reflect this and later updated with the final results.
