Jesus Medrano, owner of Gina's Italian Kitchen, announced the restaurant has officially changed its name to Sofia's Italiano on June 10, after his mother.

The details

The Italian eatery will retain the same management, staff and much of the same menu, according to an emailed announcement. Customers can still order dishes such as lobster ravioli, lasagna, meatball paninis and zuppa di fagioli.

Per the announcement, the rebranding will allow Medrano to further develop the business and work with the Friendswood community.
