Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside is welcoming guests again as of Sept. 1. This comes after the park's closure in August to renovate several of its amenities, according to Cameron Parker, League City parks operations manager, via Facebook.

Updates to the park include:

New LED lights
New vanities, toilets and plumbing in restrooms
Repainted park facilities
Restriped basketball and pickleball courts
Added tables and bleacher-style seating

The park consists of two softball fields, one soccer and football field, the sports pavilion with basketball and sand volleyball amenities, numerous picnic areas and playgrounds, plus a nature and fitness trail along Clear Creek.
