CORONAVIRUS: Fort Bend County reports 100 new cases over the weekend, releases data on patients’ race, ethnicity

For the first time, Fort Bend County is releasing COVID-19 case data broken down by race and ethnicity.

The federal government’s economic stimulus package disbursed $141.6 million in relief funds to Fort Bend County. A steering committee will assist the county in deciding how to use the funds, although a county official said he expects the majority of it will be used for testing.
