What started ten years ago as a Pearland restaurant with a simple concept of burritos, sandwich wraps and egg rolls has expanded to a second location on Bay Area Boulevard—and more is on the way, Wrap & Roll co-owner Andy Pham said.

The Wrap & Roll Bay Area location opened in May 2023, and along with it came a menu expansion to include rice, noodle and zoodle—or zucchini noodle—fusion dishes.

What's special about it?

Pham said the menu reflects his and co-owner Anh Vu’s cultural backgrounds and experiences of living in Houston.

Flavors from Korea, China, Japan, Mexico and Texas marry to create dishes such as the sweet sriracha chicken fried rice; crispy tempura shrimp tacos; and burritos built with barbecue pork, french fries, cheese, spicy mayo and sweet chili sauce.

He said this cultural exchange through food takes elements of different cuisines to create something new and meaningful.

“The menu is kind of creative and inventive,” Pham said. “The items come from experience, from our travels and living in Houston, where [there are] so many mixed cultures.

What they offer

With over 170 combinations of options on the Bay Area Boulevard location’s menu, Pham said there is something for anyone who visits to enjoy.

The tagline for the restaurant—the taste of happiness—is indicative of the comfort food selection from multiple cultures, said Pham. Each plate is loaded with plenty of food, he said.

“We want to ensure quality and a large quantity of food, but at an affordable price,” he said. “Customers can enjoy premium ribeye for less than $20 here.”

Pham said he and his partner have plans to open another location within a 15-mile radius in 2025, followed by another location in Downtown Houston in 2026. The team is setting sights on another location out west, perhaps in Katy, within the next five years as well.

He wants more people to be able to enjoy great quality food at a reasonable price, he said.

“When you go into a high end steakhouse, the meat is very expensive,” Pham said. “We want to create something that everyone is able to get.”
