What would your top priority be, if elected?

I will continue to work on what matters most: jobs and the economy as well as national security. While there are many things that I will continue to make priorities as congressman, I know that the health of our economy and the availability of good paying jobs are critical. Congress must prioritize reining in job-killing red-tape, reforming our tax code and promoting policies that empower our job creators.

As health care costs continue to rise nationwide, if elected how would you work to ensure your constituents have access to the care and/or medications they need?

Health care costs are on the rise because of the government’s onerous intrusion into the market. 'Obamacare' has lessened the affordability and the access to quality healthcare. I support the repeal and replacement of 'Obamacare' because there is a better way. A conservative alternative would be H.R. 2653, the American Health Care Reform Act.

What do you think is the greatest challenge facing your district?

Coastal barrier protection, getting funding for port maintenance and new deepening project and getting LNG permits approved more expeditiously by the Department of Energy.

Hurricane preparedness, infrastructure investment, defeating TPP, job creation and growth

What do you think is the greatest challenge facing your district?

That is the big question of our time. Being a type one diabetic for the past 26 years just have seen insulin rise from $9 a bottle in 1990 to $170 plus today and rising. This has to stop. To me the culprit is corporate greed in our pharmaceutical and insurance companies.
