The Texas Department of Transportation is warning drivers to pay attention to major closures to I-610 and I-69 coming this weekend as work continues on the interchange and the elevated bus lanes project. Here is a snapshot of what could tangle your trips around Houston for the next few days. 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26: All northbound mainlanes of I-69 between Chimney Rock Road and Weslayan Street are closed for the entire weekend. 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25: The I-10 ramps onto I-610 southbound are closed continuously. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25: Two outside lanes will be closed on IH 610 West Loop southbound between IH 10 to Woodway Drive. 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., from Friday, Aug. 23 to Friday, Aug. 30: The following will be closed every night: I-610 West Loop from Woodway Drive to Post Oak Road, the I-10 ramps to I-610 southbound and the US 290 ramp onto I-610 West Loop South.
