Dak & Bop returns to Houston’s Museum District with new restaurant

After closing its flagship store in 2020, Dak & Bop—a Korean-influenced restaurant—marks its return to the Museum District with a 2,000-square-foot space at the Parc Binz mixed-use development.

Dak & Bop in Korean translates to chicken and rice, but the brand boasts a blend of traditional and authentic ingredients with a modern twist that highlights Houston’s cultural diversity—per a Sept. 9 news release on the new location.

On the menu

Guests can expect a curated menu that blends beloved classics with innovative additions, according to the release. Features include double-fried wings, bulgogi macaroni and cheese and the brand’s signature kimchi fries.

"I am excited for so many reasons to return to the Museum District. This is a homecoming for me," said Jason Cho, founder and Alief native, in the release. "When we opened our 18th Street location, I never had any intentions of leaving, but then COVID hit and we were forced to make tough decisions. When the space became available, I knew I had to take it. This is a chance to bring back some of the magic that started it all."
