After years of planning, Nashville-based real estate developer Southern Land Company broke ground April 14 on a new development that will feature two towers and 15,000 square feet of ground-level restaurant space.
“Not only are we sitting in the middle of River Oaks, which is arguably one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, the tenant demand and the amount of calls that we've fielded over the last several weeks ... is unbelievable,” said Ryan Barbles, managing director of Stream Realty’s Houston office. “We know there's going to be a tremendous amount of success in this project.”

Located at 2811 Kirby Drive, representatives said the larger tower is expected to span 38 stories and feature 331 residences, including 18 penthouses.
Residents at the property will have access to amenities such as a pool, a spa, guest suites and a garden deck, representatives said.
Community Impact reached out regarding the price range for the units, but did not receive a response by press time.

As for the second tower, the 10-story building will house a four-story office building above a six-level podium parking and connect to the residential tower through the seventh-floor garden deck.
Additionally, both residents and office tenants will have access to the rooftop garden and a shared fitness center.
