Participating restaurants will serve specially priced, multicourse prix fixe menus that include brunch, lunch and dinner. Three dollars from every $20 brunch or lunch will generate nine meals at the food bank, while $5 and $7 from every $35 and $45 dinner will generate 15 and 21 meals, respectively.
Houston Restaurant Weeks began announcing this year’s participating restaurants July 15 and will continue adding to the list until Aug. 1. The annual event is the largest fundraiser of its kind in the U.S.
As of July 30, five restaurants in the Spring and Klein area are participating in this year's event, including Churrascos, El Tiempo Cantina, Gauchos do Sul, Peli Peli and Perry's Steakhouse & Grill.
