Original: The inaugural Southlake Spring Festival will be held Feb. 12 to celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year and to share more about the cultures and traditions of East Asia.
The festival from 2-6 p.m. at Southlake Town Square will include food trucks, live performances and family-friendly activities, such as bounce houses, Chinese calligraphy and tea ceremonies.
The festival will end with a lantern walk. Participants can make lanterns during the festival or bring their own. Those interested in the lantern walk will meet at the fountain in front of Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. and walk to Hilton Pond. Lanterns may use only battery-operated lights.
