See who filed for a place on the ballot in the Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Trophy Club and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD general election races.

The candidate filing for the May 2 general election ended at 5 p.m. Feb. 13.
Grapevine-Colleyville ISD has three board of trustee positions up for election: Place 5, Place 6 and Place 7. Incumbent A.J. Pontillo will be facing Matthew White for Place 5, incumbent Diana Sager will run against Lindsey Sheguit for Place 6, and incumbent Mary Humphrey will be up against Darrell Brown for Place 7. All three incumbents have served on the GCISD board of trustees since May 2023.
Two new candidates filed for Southlake City Council Place 1 and Place 6, with Gary Fawks the sole candidate for Place 1 and Eric Wang as the only candidate for Place 6.
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Kathy Talley, who currently serves as council member Place 1, and Mayor Pro Tem Randy Williamson, who holds the spot as council member Place 6, have both served for two successive terms, meaning they can’t run for council again, according to Southlake’s City Charter.
In Trophy Club, Jenee Molacek will be running against incumbent Jeannette Tiffany for mayor. Sean Nelson is running unopposed for Place 1 on council, and Clark Simmons is the sole candidate for Place 2. The new candidates will fill the spots currently held by council members Stacey Bauer, who holds Place 1, and Jeff Beach, who holds Place 2. Also on the ballot will be an option to reauthorize the street maintenance sales and use tax rate of 0.25%.

In Colleyville, Place 3 incumbent Scotty Richardson and Place 4 incumbent Ben Graves will be running unopposed.
Place 5 incumbent Chris Coy and Place 6 incumbent Duff O'Dell are the only filers for the Grapevine council election.
Looking ahead
The deadline to register to vote for the May 2 election is April 2. Early voting will run from April 20-28.
