Spirit Xtreme all-star cheerleading and tumbling gym celebrated its 20th anniversary in August and plans for expanding the space was approved by the Southlake City Council during a Sept. 3 meeting.
What’s happening?
Council approved a special use permit for the expansion from its current location in Suite 110 to add Suite 100. That space was formerly occupied by Expression Home Gallery, which closed in the spring. The permit approval was tied to a five-year lease, according to Dennis Killough, Southlake director of planning and development services.
Spirit Xtreme will add 15,000 square feet for cheerleading and tumbling training, according to city documents. The business will now occupy 37,876 square feet in the 44,508 square-foot building.
