Dig World offers family-friendly adventure park at Grapevine Mills
The construction-themed adventure park has several attractions, including a skid steer course and the ability to operate an excavator. Dig World also has a special attraction called The Crusher where guests can purchase a package that includes a souvenir toy and the ability to take home the same toy flattened by a 20,000-pound asphalt roller.
Guests can also partake in game versions of real-world construction tasks, such as fixing broken pipes and connecting railway segments.
KidStrong offers children’s fitness classes in Southlake
KidStrong opened its Southlake location in late June, according to company staff.
The business offers weekly 45-minute fitness classes that are designed for children who are walking through 11 years old. KidStrong classes combine cognitive development, physical activity and life skills, according to its website.
All classes are taught by expert coaches, per the website.

Cotton Patch Cafe acquired by Dallas-based restaurant group
Southlake-based restaurant chain Cotton Patch Cafe announced that it has been acquired by Local Favorite Restaurants.
The chain announced June 29 that Dallas-based Local Favorite Restaurants had acquired Cotton Patch Cafe from Altamont Capital Partners.
Local Favorite Restaurants currently owns and operates other Texas restaurants, such as El Fenix Mexican Restaurant, Snuffer's Restaurant & Bar, Twisted Root Burger Company and Meso Maya.
Flips Patio Grill in Grapevine announces temporarily closing and renovation
Flips Patio Grill in Grapevine announced that they will be temporarily closing July 19 with plans to reopen.
After closing, Flips Patio Grill will begin a six-to-eight-week renovation consisting of redoing the bar and knocking down walls and windows to transition the restaurant from smoking to nonsmoking, Tim Hardy, the Flips Patio Grill general manager, confirmed.
Flips Patio Grill opened in 2006 and has served a variety of food made in-house daily including chuck brisket burgers, hand-cut fries and fresh baked bread.

Squishable closes Grapevine Mills store
Stuffed toy store Squishable has closed its storefront within Grapevine Mills.
Squishable sold a collection of stuffed animals or foods. The stuffed toys come in several sizes, such as mini, regular and mega, according to its website.
The New York-based company opened the Grapevine Mills location in June 2024, according to previous reporting.
