Brakes Plus is coming to Colleyville after City Council approved a special-use permit during a meeting June 20.
A temporary sign has been placed at the location at 700 Glade Road, where City Garage DFW previously operated. Council and the Colleyville Planning and Zoning Commission both passed the special-use permit by 6-0 votes.
The specifics
The new owners of the business announced a number of changes that will happen before opening in this summer:
- Reducing the number of wall signs to one above the entryway
- Removing the monument sign and adding a new monument sign set back farther on the property with landscaping
- Painting the outside of the building, including the bay doors to be earth tones
- Installing a new awning over the entryway
- Remove overgrown landscaping
- Add bushes or flowering bushes near driveway entry
