Italian restaurant Ristorante Mulino will soon undergo renovations.
The Southlake restaurant received approval at the Oct. 6 city council meeting to enclose its existing patio space. The 522-square-foot patio will be enclosed with a permanent roof and walls with large windows and the new area will be air-conditioned.
Besi Iseberi and his brother currently own the restaurant and have worked there since it opened nearly 10 years ago.
Iseberi said the renovations will add more space to comfortably accommodate customers.
“As our business continues to grow, we recognize the importance of creating a space that is comfortable, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone who visits us,” Iseberi said.
On the menu
Ristorante Mulino offers a lunch and dinner menu with housemade Italian classics like wood-fired pizza, lasagna, pastas, salads and soups.
Iseberi said the restaurant’s wood-fired brick oven is imported from Italy along with the flour and yeast to help create an authentic Italian taste.
Looking ahead
Construction for the enclosed patio is expected to start in November and finish in late December or early January.
