ERCOT selects Pablo Vegas as new CEO 16 months after previous leader fired

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which operates the state’s power grid, has been without a permanent leader for 16 months, after its former CEO was fired in the aftermath of the February 2021 winter storm. The new CEO will join ERCOT in October.
