September home sales down year over year in Georgetown

Home sales were down year over year in Georgetown last month amid mixed changes to prices and days on market, according to data from Unlock MLS.

The 78626 ZIP code saw two more home sales compared to last September, but overall sales declined by 40 homes across all three area ZIP codes.

Homes in two ZIP codes sold slightly faster year over year, but homes in the 78626 ZIP code spent over 30% more time on the market.

Changes in home price were mixed between ZIP codes. Homes in ZIP code 78626 stayed relatively flat. Homes saw an increase in 78628 and a decrease in 78633, both experiencing around a 6% difference from last September.

The majority of homes sold in September were priced between $300,000 and $499,999, which was also the case for August home sales.

Across the Georgetown market, there were almost 300 new listings this September, about the same amount as last year. Closed sales were down year over year, as were homes under contract.
