Gardeners can rent plots at Heritage Community Garden in Georgetown beginning Feb. 2.
The details
Both residents and nonresidents can rent a plot to plant their own flowers, vegetables and fruits.
There are two options to choose from:
- 20-foot-by-20-foot in-ground bed
- $50 (resident), $75 (nonresident)
- 7-foot-by-16-foot raised bed
- $40 (resident), $50 (nonresident)
The annual lease runs from February-December.
What else?
Georgetown Parks and Recreation will assign the plots on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Rentals are limited to two raised beds, one of each or one in-ground bed per address.
