The Georgetown Public Library will close its second floor to the public from Aug. 5-Sept. 20 while the building undergoes improvements, including replacing the upstairs carpet.
Two-minute impact
During the closure, there will be no access to the upstairs collection, including fiction, nonfiction, large print, DVDs, audiobooks and graphic novels. Residents will also be unable to access the study and meeting rooms, the Plant Propagation Station, and the Second Hand Prose bookstore.
Due dates for materials in the second floor collection will be extended beginning July 16, and items will not be due until after the carpeting project is complete.
