Everything you need to know to vote in the Georgetown City Council District 2 runoff election

The early voting period for the Georgetown City Council District 2 runoff election begins Dec. 3. Here is what you need to know.

Who?

Shawn Hood and Lisa King entered a runoff election after neither won more than 50% of the vote during the Nov. 3 election. Learn more about the candidates here.

The open District 2 seat was vacated in May after Council Member Valerie Nicholson resigned as she and her family moved out of the district. District 2 includes individuals living west of I-35 within city limits. You can find what district you live in here.

When?

The early voting period runs Dec. 3-11, excluding Dec. 6. Polling hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 3-4, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 5 and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 7-11.

Where?

Eligible voters can cast their ballot early at Georgetown City Hall, 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St., Georgetown.

What about election day?

Election day is Dec. 15. Polling hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

There will be two Georgetown polling locations on election day.

• First Baptist Church-Georgetown, 1333 W. University Ave.

The ballot by mail application deadline for the election is Dec. 4. Mail-in ballots must be received at the Williamson County Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Dec. 15.
