During its May 18 school board meeting, the Georgetown ISD board of trustees approved the hiring of two elementary school principals and the principal of the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program.
The district named Tamra Marbibi principal of Frost Elementary School and Rebecca Lambert principal of Village Elementary School.
Marbibi currently serves as assistant principal at McCoy Elementary School. Marbibi has worked in GISD for 16 years as a teacher and an administrator, according to a news release. During that time, she served on the community forums responsible for the development of the district’s mission, vision, beliefs and learning profile, it said.
Lambert currently serves as assistant principal of Village Elementary School. Prior to that, she served as assistant principal at East View High School, the release said. She has 11 total years of education experience, including timeas a bilingual teacher at Mitchell Elementary and as a Spanish teacher at EVHS, it said.
