As Williamson County marks the passing of a year since its first coronavirus case was reported, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county has continued to decrease.
In March, the county reported 2,537 new cases, according to Williamson County and Cities Health District data. This is down about 43.91% from the approximately 4,500 reported in February.
Williamson County reported 37,064 total cases since the start of the pandemic.
The total number of deaths also decreased from the previous month, data shows. In March, the county reported 52 new deaths, down from 74 the month prior. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic is 450.
